Requirement
Audio-first apps work for users who learn better by ear than by reading. The client identified 2 underserved audiences. Casual language learners who wanted vocabulary delivered as audio (Knumero), and Muslim users worldwide who wanted Quran audio with multilingual translations available both offline and online (Quran Qat Pro).
Both apps needed multi-language support, bookmark and review functions, and in-app purchase unlocks for premium content.
Solution
We built each app with a shared audio playback engine and bookmark system, then specialised the content layer. Knumero loads bite-sized vocabulary audio across multiple languages. Quran Qat Pro loads chapter-by-chapter Quran audio with synchronised text in multiple translations.
- Audio lesson playback with offline support
- Multiple language support for both source and target content
- Bookmark passages for later review
- In-app purchase for premium content unlocks (Knumero)
- Writing translations alongside audio (Quran Qat Pro)
- Online streaming with download option for offline use
Final Outcome
2 niche language learning apps shipped to their respective audiences. Knumero serves general learners who prefer audio to text. Quran Qat Pro serves the Muslim community with a tool that pairs recitation and multilingual translation. Both apps run on the same audio engine, which kept development efficient across the 2 products.
