Requirement
Most small electronics businesses run returns on spreadsheets and email threads. The client wanted to give them a real system. Customers should be able to start a return without calling support. The team should see every active return in one queue. And managers should know which agents close returns fastest.
Shipping was the other pain point. Generating prepaid labels and tracking inbound shipments was a manual job involving multiple carrier websites, so the platform needed shipping baked in.
Solution
We built a cloud-based RMA system that runs the full returns lifecycle in one place. Customers file a return through a self-service portal, the system spits out a prepaid label, and the package gets tracked through the carrier API back to the warehouse. The team works each request from a unified queue.
- Product returns management with self-service customer portal
- Real-time returns tracking from initiation through inspection
- Customer service history pulled into the agent view
- Real-time returns insight and dashboard reporting
- Team performance management with agent-level metrics
- Built-in shipping with prepaid label generation
Angular drives the front-end, .Net Core and Web API handle the order data and carrier integrations, and MS SQL holds the returns history.
Final Outcome
We gave their target customers a returns workflow that actually scales. Small electronics shops can run RMAs in minutes instead of hours, customers get prepaid labels without calling in, and managers can see exactly how their team is performing. Returns stopped being the worst part of the product life cycle.
